Fringe, Womadelaide Break Records
This year’s Adelaide Fringe Festival set a new audience and show record, said CEO Greg Clarke.
About 334,000 tickets were sold during its 24 days, a rise of 11 percent over last year, with an unprecedented 759 shows, 4,889 performances and more than 3,000 artists.
In the meantime, Womadelaide director Ian Scobie revealed that a record 85,000 people attended this year’s festival.
Womadelaide is the Australian version of UK world music meet Womad.
