Not only will both bands perform headline sets on the outing beginning in mid-July, but each band will close shows over the course of the tour.

Beginning in Reading, Penn., at the Sovereign Center July 20, other stops on the Rob Zombie/Slayer journey into the depths of aural debauchery include the DTE Music Energy Theatre located north of Detroit in Clarkston, Mich., July 22; Pittsburgh at Stage AE July 23; Toronto’s “Heavy T.O.” at Downsview Park July 24; Calgary at Scotiabank Saddledome July 30; Vancouver at Rogers Arena Aug. 3 and Seattle’s WaMu Theatre Aug. 6.

Since this is a co-headline tour we get, not one, but two obligatory quotes with the first coming from Slayer’s Kerry King.

“We haven’t toured with Zombie since Ozzfest 1999, so you can expect no less than ‘Hell on Earth,” King said. “Total sonic annihilation and a visual bludgeoning. Bring your own body bag.”

We also have these choice words of wisdom from Mr. Zombie:

“Total destruction on stage and off is what this combination promises,” Zombie stated. “Seriously, how much more Hell could you ask for?”
