The actor/singer plays Spanish teacher and glee club director Will Schuester on the Fox musician-comedy-drama series.

Morrison has racked up Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for the role in addition to earning a 2009 Screen Actors Guild award with his castmates for best performance by an ensemble in a television series.

The U.S. summer tour begins June 18 at The Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis. Morrison will be on the road through a July 23 performance at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

The tour also includes stops in St. Louis (July 19); Columbus, Ohio (June 22); Detroit (June 23); Philadelphia (June 27); Boston (June 29); Atlantic City, N.J. (July 2); Washington, D.C. (July 6); Duluth, Ga. (July 8); Tampa, Fla. (July 10); Austin, Texas (July 17) and Phoenix (July 19).

The trek will feature songs from Morrison’s upcoming album as well as many “Glee” fan favorites.

After recently showing off his debut single “Summer Rain” on Ryan Seacrest’s nationally syndicated morning radio show on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles, Morrison will perform the tune on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on April 6 and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on April 11.

Morrison is teaming up with the VH1 Save The Music Foundation to give regional glee clubs the chance to perform on tour as the opening act. Submissions will be accepted through Morrison’s official website beginning April 8.

The actor/singer has a few commitments to take care of before the U.S. summer tour including a May 14 set at “KIIS FM Wango Tango” in Los Angeles and a United Kingdom trek scheduled June 7-13.

A pre-sale for the new U.S. dates begins April 4 through Morrison’s website. American Express cardmembers can get their hands on tickets through a pre-sale that starts April 6 at 10 a.m. and runs through April 14 at 10 p.m.

Tickets go on sale to the general public April 15 at 10 a.m.
