Mumford & Sons Add Spring Shows

Mumford & Sons have expanded their U.S. tour plans to include nearly a dozen additional headline dates.

The new shows kick off June 3 with a gig at The City Market in Kansas City, Mo. Dates are booked through a two-night run at Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, Colo., June 15-16.

The trek also includes stops in St. Louis (June 5); Asheville, N.C. (June 7); Raleigh, N.C. (June 8); Columbia, Md. (June 9); Atlanta (June 12) and Council Bluffs, Iowa (June 14). 

The June 3 show is part of KRBZ FM’s “Buzz Under The Stars” series. The event also features Cake, Matthew And The Atlas and Nathaniel Rateliff. The June 5-12 gigs include support from Matthew And The Atlas and The Low Anthem. The June 14-16 shows feature Matthew And The Atlas and Nathaniel Ratecliff.

Mumford & Sons’ first U.S. performance of the year is set for April 15 at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, followed by an April 16 set at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif.

Additional festival appearances include New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (April 29); Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis (April 30); Wakarusa Festival in Ozark, Ark. (June 4); Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tenn. (June 11) and Tellruide Bluegrass Festival in Colorado (June 19).

The English folk rock band is teaming up with Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes and Old Crow Medicine Show later this month for the “Railroad Revival Tour.” The trek, which is scheduled April 21-27, includes six shows at unique outdoor locations throughout the American Southwest. The three groups will travel from stop to stop aboard 15 vintage railcars from the 1950s and ‘60s.

On June 30 the band returns to its home turf to play London’s Hyde Park with Arcade Fire.

Tickets for the new U.S. shows go on sale to the general public Friday, April 8.
