Produced by founder Kevin Lyman and producer John Reese, the tour will also feature main stage performances by In Flames, Machine Head and Trivium. Unearth, Kingdom Of Sorrow and Red Fang will rock the Jagermeister Stage and Suicide Silence, All Shall Perish and Straight Line Stitch are set to appear on the Extreme Stage.

Launching in San Bernardino at the San Manuel Amphitheatre July 9, other stops on the outdoor-venue tour include Mountain View, Calif., at the Shoreline Amphitheatre July 10; Phoenix at the Ashley Furniture HomeStore Pavilion July 15; Holmdel, N.J., at the PNC Bank Arts Center July 27; Tinley Park, Ill. (Chicago), at First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre Aug. 5; Clarkston, Mich. (Detroit), at DTE Energy Music Theatre Aug. 6 and West Palm Beach, Fla., at the Cruzan Amphitheatre Aug. 14.

The dates come with a few caveats. Adult Swim’s animated metal creation called Dethklok appears in its flesh-and-blood form in place of Megadeth on the July 9 San Bernardino opener. Testament subs for In Flames in San Bernardino and on the Mountain View gig. Hatebreed is scheduled to perform in place of Trivium on shows scheduled for Tinley Park, Clarkston and Noblesville. Megadeth will not appear on the Montreal date (July 23).

You’re going to need tickets to experience this roaming collection of sonic wonders, which means diving into the pre-sale beginning April 8 at 10 a.m. local time. Running for the first 72 hours of the pre-sale for most markets will be the festival’s “Get Off Your Ass” promotion offering a five-dollar discount on any ticket purchased during that time period. Jump on this deal and you’ll also receive a specially priced 3D commemorative ticket doubling as a “jump the line” pass, early entrance, a limited edition tour T-shirt and a specially priced subscription to Revolver Magazine.
