Rimrock Reopens

Rimrock Auto Arena At MetraPark in Billings, Mont., is back in business less than a year after a tornado tore off its roof and damaged the interior.

The renovated 12,000-capacity venue hosted a Women of Faith event April 8-9 and a sold-out Elton John concert April 10.

Upgrades include a new sound system with acoustical panels on the walls and ceilings, new and bigger concession stands, more bathrooms, new heating and cooling units and more efficient lighting.

The county reportedly spent $5.2 million in addition to the insurance contribution of about $21 million.
