Sara Bareilles Can’t Stop Working
But there’s no sense in laying low when the proverbial iron is hot. These days Barielles is neck-deep in the flame that is fame, having scored a Grammy nom for her single, “King Of Anything” as well as hitting the No. 1 position with her album Kaleidoscope Heart. The video for her current single, “Uncharted,” recently premiered on VH1 and is currently on the music channel’s Top 10 Countdown. The tune has also been selected as the theme song for VH1’s new reality show “Audrina.”
But Bareilles isn’t spending the summer months reading about other people’s tours. While most of her summer and early fall months are devoted to supporting Sugarland, the singer-songwriter has her own headlining dates to do, beginning in Apple Valley, Minn., at the Minnesota Zoo Amphitheatre July 12. That performance is gigs in Fargo, N.D., at the Fargo Theatre July 13; Missoula, Mont., at Wilma Theatre July 15; Alta, Wy., at the Targhee Music Festival July 16; Portland, Ore., at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall and Jacksonville, Ore., at the Britt Festival July 20.
Other headline dates include Cleveland’s House Of Blues Aug. 9; Grand Rapids, Mich., at Meijer Gardens Aug. 10; Tulsa, Okla., at Cain’s Ballroom Aug. 16; Boston’s Bank Of America Pavilion Aug. 30 and New York at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park Aug. 31.
Acoustic indie band Raining Jane support on most of Bareilles’ headlining dates and Josh Radin has signed on to provide additional support in Portland, Jacksonville, Boston and New York. For more information, visit SaraBMusic.com.
