Timbaland Drops Out Of Supafest

Timbaland pulled out of Paperchase Touring’s four-city urban tour Supafest at the last minute but the Australian tour still got off to a great start and is expected to play to 100,000 fans April 9-16.

The bill includes Snopp Dogg, Nelly, Busta Rhymes, The Game, Spliff Star & T-Pain, Bow Wow, Ciara, Taio Cruz, Fat Jo, New Boyz and Keri Hilson.

One of the highlights of the shows was Snoop and Bow Bow sharing the stage on “Who Am I (What’s My Name)?”

A one-off club appearance by Snoop and Nelly at Star City casino ended with The Game, T-Pain, Busta Rhymes and Fat Joe – who arrived to cheer on their buddies from the audience – joining them onstage for most of their set and did an extra hour of freestyling.

Aside from doing their own hits, the contingent also did Terror Squad’s “Lean Back” and Kris Kross’ “Jump.”

The audience included singers Jessica Mauboy and Justice Crew, as well as sports players, models, actors and TV presenters.

A low point of the tour was in Perth. Two warring motorcycle gangs, Rock Machine and the Rebels, were expelled from Joondalup Arena after a verbal stoush.

Tensions are high between the two after a Rock Machine member was charged with the attempted shooting murder of Rebels’ local president.
