Performing with his band The Guilty Ones, Alvin will be supporting his new album Eleven Eleven dropping June 21 on Yep Roc Records.

Alvin’s next gig is in Santa Cruz, Calif., at Moe’s May 28 followed by a show in Aptos, Calif., at the Santa Cruz Blues Fest May 29.

Alvin & The Guilty Ones hook up with Los Straitjackets beginning June 11 in Atlanta at The Earl. Other dates featuring the two acts include Asheville, N.C., at the Grey Eagle June 14; Alexandria, Va., at The Birchmere June 17; Somerville, Mass., at Johnny D’s June 22; New York City’s City Winery June 23-24; Philly’s World Café Live June 25; West Hollywood at the Troubadour Aug. 18 and San Francisco at Great American Music Hall Aug. 20.

Alvin will reunite with his brother Phil and The Blasters for a one-night-only gig at the Doheny Blues Festival in the band’s hometown of Downey, Calif.

But there are no dates for Davis, Calif., on the schedule, for The Blasters or Alvin. Last week Davis’ mayor, Joe Krovoza, boarded the train carrying Alvin’s “King Of California Roots On Rails” tour and presented the artist with a formal proclamation rescinding the town’s 29-year-old ban against The Blasters. That particular piece of Blasters history resulted when the band played to a capacity crowd at the college town in 1982 and audience members began pushing and shoving, eventually turning the scene into a riot.

Expect Alvin to announce more dates for his tour with The Guilty Ones. For more information, click here for his website and here for his Facebook HQ.
