Williams is touring in support of her latest release, the Don Was-produced Blessed, that came out in March on Lost Highway Records. The Los Angeles Times’ “Pop & Hiss” blog called Blessed “one of the best albums” Williams has ever released, saying, “the dozen songs on the album tackle complicated emotions with a deft touch to create profoundly moving moments.” The New York Times also took a liking to Blessed, describing the disc as “… one of her best.”

Lee’s latest album, Mission Bell, has also received plenty of accolades and was hailed by the New York Daily News as “an ideal survey of the nuances of acoustic soul.”

The two singer-songwriters already share a connection with Williams appearing on Mission Bell, performing with Lee on “Clear Blue Eyes.”

The co-headline tour begins in Interlochen, Mich., at the Kresge Auditorium July 13. Other dates include Cleveland’s Nautica Stage July 16; Pittsburgh’s Stage AE July 17; Vienna, Va., at the Filene Center @ Wolf Trap July 19; Montclair, N.J., at the Wellmont Theatre July 20; New York’s Beacon Theatre July 21; Holyoke, Conn., at Mountain Park July 23 and Gilford, N.H., at Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion July 24.
