The festival, which is presented by The Independent Weekly, takes place Sept. 8-10 at 12 venues in Raleigh, N.C. The event features more than 135 acts with over 40 percent of the artists hailing from Raleigh and nearby Durham and Chapel Hill.

Guided By Voices will perform at Raleigh City Plaza Friday, Sept. 9 along with The Dodos and Drive-By Truckers. The Flaming Lips and Superchunk play the venue on Sept. 10 along with Light Pines.

Hopscotch Music Festival’s lineup also features Japandroids, Dinosaur Jr.’s J Mascis, The Black Lips, Toro Y Moi, Twin Shadow, Cold Cave, Yelawolf, Swans and Xiu Xiu.

In addition to the Raleigh City Plaza, venue locations include Berkeley Café, The Pour House, The Lincoln Theatre, Slim’s, Tir Na Nog, Five Star, The Hive @ Busy Bee, Deep South Bar, Kings, Fletcher Opera Theatre and White Collar Crime.

A complete schedule will be announced in mid-summer.

Tickets are on sale now. Three-day, all show passes are priced at $105. Three-day club passes are $65. Single-day Friday tickets for City Plaza are $32. City Plaza Saturday tickets are $34.
