Stevie Nicks has called off a number of performances in New York thanks to a bout of pneumonia and the flu.

The canceled gigs include a show at Webster Hall in New York May 4 and TV appearances on “Today” and “Good Day New York” May 3.

According to a statement posted on her website, the singer’s doctor told her she needed “to stay in bed and not fly” until she recovers.

As of late Monday afternoon, tickets were still on sale for a May 6 show at Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, N.J.

“I want to apologize to all my fans and hope that we can reschedule and of course I hope you love the new album. It’s for you,” Nicks said.

In Your Dreams is set for release Tuesday, May 3.

Rick Springfield’s Sunday Funday

Rick Springfield wrapped up his weekend by getting arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

The singer caught sheriff deputies’ attention by rapidly accelerating his 1963 Corvette along Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, Calif. 

A statement by a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesman said Springfield “exhibited signs of alcohol intoxication,” according to Reuters.

After being stopped by the sheriff deputies and failing a field sobriety test, Springfield was taken into custody on Sunday night.

He had a blood-alcohol level of 0.10 percent, according to the statement. California’s legal limit is 0.08 percent.

Richie Sambora’s Stand-In Revealed

The guitarist filling in for Richie Sambora made his debut with Bon Jovi during the band’s set at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

On Thursday gossip sites began reporting that Sambora was checking into a rehab facility. Without revealing too many details Bon Jovi eventually confirmed that Sambora would be missing upcoming shows. The statement posted to the band’s website noted that the upcoming tour would still go on – but did not explain who would be taking over for Sambora.

Session guitarist Phil X took to the stage in New Orleans with Bon Jovi on Saturday. As to whether or not Saturday’s show was a one-off, a representative for Bon Jovi told Pollstar that Phil X will tour with the band for “the time being.” This corresponds to the band’s statement which says Sambora “will be absent from upcoming shows for the time being.”

According to Phil X’s website, his discography includes work on albums for a long list of artists including Gavin DeGraw, Tommy Lee, Chris Cornell, Adam Lambert, Kelly Clarkson, Orianthi, Daughtry, Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie.

Bon Jovi’s next show takes place Tuesday in Ottawa, Ontario at Scotiabank Place, followed by a May 4 show at Montreal’s Bell Centre. U.S. gigs are booked May 6-22. A European tour is scheduled for June 8 through July 31.
