The conference is being held May 10-11 at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. Jane’s Addiction will take the stage Tuesday as part of the Google I/O After Hours party. Tomorrow’s show will also feature San Francisco DJs Mark Farina and Miguel Migs.

Although the After Hours event is a private concert, fans are invited to join the party by watching online at home through a live streamed link. The concert will be live streamed at www.google.com/io from 7:30-9:30 p.m. PDT.

Bassist Chris Chaney will perform tomorrow along with Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro and drummer Stephen Perkins. A statement from a representative for Jane’s Addiction says Chaney will tour with the band throughout 2011. Wikipedia notes that Chaney played bass for the band from 2002-2004 in addition to one-off appearances in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Earlier this year Jane’s Addiction announced that Dave Sitek – who has done production work with TV On The Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Foals – is writing, programming and playing bass on the band’s new album.

Jane’s fourth studio album, The Great Escape Artist, is set for release in August on Capitol Records. The exact release date has not yet been announced. The album is the band’s first since 2003’s Strays. The Great Escape Artist’s first single, “End To The Lies,” can be purchased now through iTunes.

Check out the second installment of Jane’s Addiction’s “behind-the-scenes” series below. The video includes footage from the band’s April 3 performance at Lollapalooza Chile in addition to details about the recording process for The Great Escape Artist.
