Soundwave Revolution Snags Van Halen
In addition to Van Halen with original frontman David Lee Roth, the lineup is a rock fan’s dream with Alice Cooper, Bad Religion, Panic At The Disco, Hole, Alter Bridge, All Time Low, Steel Panther, Sum 41, Yellowcard, The Used and Hollywood Undead.
But that’s just a smidgen of the overall lineup. The Soundwave Revolution website lists Sisters Of Mercy, Dashboard Confessional, Face To Face, D.R.U.G.S., Thursday, Story Of The Year, Madina Lake, Four Year Strong, Relient K, Set Your Goals, Hellogoodbye, Funeral For A Friend and The Pretty Reckless as appearing on Stage 3.
But wait! There are more stages. Stage 4 will host Machine Head, Danzig, Gojira, Hatebreed, Cro-Mags, Hellyeah, Unearth, Times Of Grace, Whitechapel, Kvelertak, Watain, In This Moment, Holy Grail, Kevin Devine and Young Guns.
Of course, there’s a Stage 5. Expect The Damned Things, Everytime I Die, The Swellers, We Are The Ocean, Skindred, Street Dogs, The Acacia Strain, Zebrahead, Framing Hanley and Attack! Attack! while the Stage 6 lineup includes Devin Townsend Project, This Providence, Black Veil Brides, The Word Alive, The Dangerous Summer, We Are The In Crowd, Terrible Things, Versa Emerge and Make Do And Mend.
One year after Van Halen completed its 2007-08 reunion tour with Roth, manager Irving Azoff hinted that the group might return to the touring world in 2010. During the 2009 Bank Of America Merrill Lynch Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference, Azoff, in his role as Ticketmaster CEO, was participating in a discussion about the then-upcoming Ticketmaster/Live Nation merger when he mentioned Van Halen would tour the following year. Needless to say, a 2010 VH tour never materialized.
Soundwave Revolution’s pre-sale begins May 24 and the general onsales launch June 2. For more info, click here for the Soundwave Revolution website.
