A New Case Of My Morning Jacket Dates

My Morning Jacket’s summer just got hotter thanks to a new round of August dates featuring Neko Case.

The indie rock band is touring in support of their sixth full-length album, Circuital. The album is set for release May 31 on ATO Records as the follow-up to 2008’s Evil Urges. Fans can check out the title single “Circuital” as well as “Holdin on to Black Metal” on My Morning Jacket’s Facebook page.

The new dates with Case begin Aug. 7 in Indianapolis at The Lawn at White River State Park. Shows featuring the singer/songwriter are booked through an Aug. 21 gig in Charlotte, N.C., at Time Warner Cable Uptown Amphitheater.

MMJ and Case will also make stops in Columbus, Ohio (Aug. 8); Pittsburgh (Aug. 10); Columbia, Md. (Aug. 12); Boston (Aug. 14); Detroit (Aug. 16); Cincinnati (Aug. 17) and Alpharetta, Ga. (Aug. 20).

In addition, My Morning Jacket has added a few new shows before teaming up with Case. These dates include performances in Santa Barbara, Calif. (July 2); St. Louis (Aug. 2) and Kansas City, Mo. (Aug. 3).

The band’s first tour dates of 2011 begin May 20 with a set at Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Ala.

Jim James and the gang will also make appearances at Wakarusa Festival in Ozark, Ark. (June 3); Mountain Jam Fest in Hunter, N.Y. (June 5); Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tenn. (June 9-12); High Sierra Music Festival in Quincy, Calif. (June 30-July 3); Lollapalooza in Chicago (Aug. 5-7); and Latitude Festival in Suffolk, United Kingdom (July 16).

On May 31 MMJ plays Louisville Palace Theater in Kentucky. The performance will be filmed by “I’m Not There” director Todd Haynes and live-streamed as part of American Express’ “Unstaged” series. Fans can watch the show at home via the band’s VEVO page on YouTube. The concert begins at 9 p.m. EST.

A Roll Call pre-sale for the new dates featuring Case begins May 18. Pre-sale tickets for the Santa Barbara show are on sale now. A pre-sale for the St. Louis and Kansas City gigs begins May 31. My Morning Jacket will donate $1 from every ticket sold to a local charity.
