Promising a “different special theme” each night, the Steely Dan “Shuffle Diplomacy 2011 Tour” takes over the Beacon Sept. 14, 16-17, 19, 20 & 22-23.

While Fagan and Becker are collectively known as Steely Dan, the artists are backed on this tour by a group of musicians dubbed the “Miles High Band” featuring the “Embassy Brats” and consisting of guitarist Jon Herington, bassist Freddie Washington, drummer Keith Carlock, keyboardist Jim Beard, Michael Leonard, Walt Weiskopf, Roger Rosenberg and Jim Pugh on horns and backup singers Carolyn Escoffery, Cindy Mizelle and Catherine Russell.
