Hold Steady This Summer

The Hold Steady will close out summer with a run of U.S. dates.

The trek kicks off Aug. 24 in Milwaukee at Turner Hall Ballroom. Dates are booked through a Sept. 1 gig in Washington, DC at 9:30 Club.

The indie rock band will also play Chicago’s Metro / Smart Bar (Aug. 25); Louisville, Ky., at Headliners Music Hall (Aug. 28); Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse (Aug. 30); and Carrboro, N.C., at Cat’s Cradle (Aug. 31).

Lucky fans in Omaha, Neb., will be treated to a free show when the group stops by the Toyota Antics Block Party at Slowdown – Parking Lot Aug. 26. The next day The Hold Steady takes the stage at LouFest at Central Field @ Forest Park in St. Louis.

The Hold Steady is touring in support of its fifth studio album, 2010’s Heaven Is Whenever.

Presale tickets for fans went on sale today via www.HoldSteady.com. Tickets go on sale to the general public May 26.
