Jahnke Top For Customer Service
Hamburg-based promoter Karsten Jahnke runs Germany’s most user-friendly ticket service, according to a survey carried out by one of the country’s leading consumer organisations.
The Deutsches Institut fur Service Qualitaet, a private, media-funded research firm, says the results of its study to find the “Best Online Ticketshop 2011” put Jahnke’s company on top in two of three categories tested.
His company has the best customer service via telephone and the best customer service via email, while European ticketing giant CTS Eventim has the best website.
Jahnke’s press office says it’s something of a David and Goliath story when one of the country’s few remaining independent promoters comes out ahead of some powerful corporate rivals that specialise in ticketing.
The overall results of the study showed Jahnke’s firm is entitled to regard itself as the best online ticket shop, followed by Ticket Online –which was last year’s winner – and Ticketmaster in third place.
The other major ticket outlets to come under DISQ scrutiny included Eventim Adticket, Tickets.de, Getgo and Hekticket.
“In Germany, Kartsen Jahnke is very well known and very well respected as an independent national promoter, but the survey revealed the excellent service provided by his online ticket business,” DISQ chief ops officer Markus Hamer told Pollstar.
Anja Schwencke, Jahnke’s head of ticketing, said winning such a test is a great incentive for the company to ensure it maintains such a high standard of service.
Jahnke said he was proud of his team, which he says won the award because they’re enthusiastic and creative people who work with passion.
