With wailing vocals reminiscent of a young Steven Tyler but accelerated to the tenth power, The Jim Jones Revue will tour The States in support of the Brit band’s latest album. Released in Europe in 2010, up until now Burning Your House Down has been available on this side of The Pond only as an import. But that situation changes Aug. 16 when the album gets a proper U.S. release, courtesy of Punk Rock Blues Records.

The band’s U.S/Canada run begins shortly thereafter, launching in Vancouver, British Columbia, at the Biltmore Cabaret Sept. 1. Other stops include Portland, Ore., at Doug Fir Lounge Sept. 3; Seattle’s Bumbershoot Festival Sept. 4; San Francisco at The Independent Sept. 7, and Los Angeles at Echo Sept. 8.

The band then has two days to cross the continent before playing its scheduled New York City date at Brooklyn’s Music Hall Of Williamsburg Sept. 10. Other destinations include Montreal (Sept. 12), Toronto (Sept. 13); Chicago (Sept. 14) and Philadelphia (Sept. 16). Last stop on the routing is Hoboken, N.J., at Maxwell’s Sept. 18.
