Kid Rock chose an unusual way to announce the Aug. 12 show. Along with Detroit Red Wings captain Nicklas Lidstrom and retired Red Wings defenseman Chris Chelios, Rock paddle-boarded across the Detroit River to Belle Isle where he announced the show at a microphone-equipped lectern on the beach.
Rock referred to the hockey players as his “new security detail.”
Tickets will be priced at $30, $49.50 and $79.50. There will also be upper deck “six-packs” priced at $99. Tickets go on sale June 11 at 10 a.m. EDT. For more information, including VIP packages, visit KidRock.com.
