Widespread Panic’s Streaming Frenzy

Most bands are content to promote a live Internet stream of one performance during a tour. But then, most bands aren’t like Widespread Panic.

The jam band is a steaming machine this month, offering pay-per-views of its performances in Austin, Texas, and Denver.

Streams of the Austin shows scheduled for June 14-15 at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theatre June 14-15 will be produced by Stageside Productions (ACL Live’s production company) and fan-commerce outfit Milyoni, with the shows streaming live via the WP and ACL Facebook pages. Viewers will be able to submit questions to Panic guitarist John Bell on June 15 and view both evenings’ streams while interacting with friends and other fans. Showtime for each Austin stream is 7 p.m. CDT time.

Cost is $5 for one night and $10 for both evenings. Performances will be archived for unlimited viewing through Sunday, June 19. While fans can use Facebook credits to purchase the streams, the preferred transaction method is PayPal. For more information, click here for the Austin City Limits Facebook page and here for Widespread Panic’s home on the social network.

But there’s more than one way to stream Widespread Panic and the band will provide not one, not two, but three nights of pay-per-stream fun when it plays the Red Rocks Amphitheatre near Denver June 24-26.

Presented by iClips, “Widespread Panic: Live From Red Rocks” comes to you with multiple purchase options. You can view single evenings for $9.99 per, or buy the complete three-night PPV for 24.99. The price for individual nightly passes goes up to $12.99 on the day of the broadcast. There’s also a special package that includes all three nights plus a Widespread Panic/Red Rocks poster complete with autographs going for $69.99, but you need to move fast because supplies are limited.
