Featuring original Kyuss members John Garcia, Nick Oliveri and Brant Bjork along with guitarist Bruno Fevery, the tour begins at Toronto’s Sound Academy Sept. 16 and wraps in Pomona, Calif., at the Fox Theater Oct. 8. Stops along the way include Montreal (Sept. 18); Philadelphia (Sept. 21); New York (Sept. 23); Atlanta (Sept. 26); New Orleans (Sept. 28); Austin (Oct. 1) and Las Vegas (Oct. 7).

The band also announced shows for Mexico and South America, playing Mexico City’s El Circo Volador Nov. 9; Santiago, Chile, at Teatro Teleton Nov. 11; Buenos Aires, Argentina, at Teatro Colegiales Nov. 12 and Sao Paulo, Brazil, at Caricoa Club Nov. 13.

The tour’s beginnings can be traced back to 2010 and the John Garcia Plays Kyuss outing featuring the vocalist with a collection of musician friends, including Fevery. While playing France’s Hellfest, Garcia was joined by onstage by Oliveri and Bjork with the three Kyuss-men loving the result so much that they decided to continue working together under the Kyuss Lives! banner. In April the band announced its New York City and Pomona, Calif., shows and promised a tour was in the works.

Monstro opens Sept. 16-18, 25-28 and Oct. 4 with another support band to be announced. Monstro and The Sword appear Sept. 23-24, 29-Oct. 2 and Oct. 6-8. For more information, visit KyussLives.com.
