Shania has been absent from the concert scene for quite some time. The best-selling female country artist of all time hasn’t toured since 2004, almost an eternity in the music biz. Of course, her divorce from producer Mutt Lange as well as marrying Swiss business exec Frederic Thiebaud has kept her busy in recent years.

Then there’s her first memoir – “From This Moment On” – currently climbing the New York Times bestseller list, plus her docu-series on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN called “Why Not? With Shania Twain” that’s attracted the most viewers since the cable channel began. In fact, Shania will tell fans why she decided to return to the stage in the series’ last episode scheduled to air June 12 at 10 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time (9 p.m. Central).

At this time Caesars has only announced a series of dates for December 2012. “Shania: Still The One” plays the Colosseum Dec. 1-2, 6, 8-9, 11-12 and 14-15.

“This past year has been such an amazing journey and to find myself poised to play at The Colosseum is truly magical,” Shania said in a statement. “The Colosseum is an iconic location with unmatched energy, and I’m excited to bring a pop/country spin to the city. People from all over the world travel to Las Vegas and I’m so thrilled to be able to share my music with a truly global audience.”

Tickets range from $55 to $250 plus applicable fees. American Express cardmembers get first crack with a presale launching tonight (June 8) when Shania announces the winner of the Male Video Of The Year on the CMT Music Awards. General onsales begin June 19 at 10 a.m. PDT. For more information, visit ShaniaInVegas.com.
