“I can’t remember another pop artist that’s built a following on the road like she has,” Pinnacle Entertainment’s Scott Sokol told Pollstar. “She’s headlining and sold out Radio City Music Hall in advance without a song on the radio.”

The 31-year-old got her start at age 12 by recording the theme song for the Swedish television show “Lilla Sportspegeln.” By 1995 she had released her debut album, Robyn Is Here, in Sweden. It was released in the U.S. two years later, spawning Top 10 U.S. hits “Do You Know (What It Takes)” and “Show Me Love.”

After releasing two more albums Robyn switched to a more electro/synthpop sound. In 2005 she formed her own label, Konichiwa Records, and released a self-titled album. Since then she’s been featured on Britney Spears’ “Piece Of Me” and a remix of Snoop Dogg’s “Sexual Eruption” in addition to picking up a few Grammy nominations and Swedish Grammis awards.

Robyn has been touring practically non-stop in support of the three albums she released last year. Although one of her latest singles is called “Dancing On My Own,” most fans have a hard time not joining in thanks to the singer’s energy and sweet moves onstage.

“If you watch Robyn for 90 minutes, you’ll probably lose between 5 and 10 pounds,” Sokol said. “It’s like an aerobic workout.”

After wrapping a run of headline shows in June, she supports Katy Perry’s U.S. tour through early August. Robyn will also appear at a number of festivals including Bonnaroo and Glastonbury.
