Schwag Man Alleged Bag Man

Federal prosecutors in St. Louis say James Tebeau, a member of popular regional Grateful Dead tribute band The Schwag, has been indicted on drug charges.

The indictment involves a campground where he organized music festivals.

The U.S. attorney’s office said June 16 that Tebeau had been charged with one felony count of operating a premises for the facilitation of illegal drug use. The office also said it has filed a civil complaint seeking civil penalties and the forfeiture of money derived from the campground’s operation.

Prosecutors say Tebeau operated 300-acre Camp Zoe and held music festivals there. He’s accused of managing the concerts and campground to facilitate the distribution and use of drugs.
