Hatzigeorgiou Departs Ragged Touring
A restructure at major independent label and distributor Shock Entertainment saw George Hatzigeorgiou, GM of its in-house touring company Ragged Company Touring, depart after six years.
Under Hatzigeorgiou, the company toured acts including Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, The Charlatans, Eilen Jewel, Hawkwind, Elana James, The Hotclub of Cowtown and John Grant.

After more than eight years at major Melbourne live music venue The Prince Bandroom in various roles – ultimately as manager, band booker and publicist – Emily Ulman is leaving. The venue’s new booker is Steve Kingi. Ulman continues to book at the Toff In Town.
NSW’s Parklife was listed by the international edition of CNN as one of the best summer music festivals in the world. The list included England’s Glastonbury and Bestival, America’s Bonnaroo, Pitchfork and Summerfest, Denmark’s Roskilde, Serbia’s Exit Festival, and Japan’s Fuji Rock.
Cairns in Northern Queensland gets a new festival next July. It is set up by Cameron Shaw and Daniel Warner of DC Entertainment on the grounds of James Cook University.
Diversified Entertainment, which runs light and sound trade shows in the U.S. and Asia, is to buy the Integrate trade show in Sydney and stage it in Darling Harbour next year, reported the CX Network.
Brian Goldsmith, doyen of Melbourne’s nightclub scene, is planning his 80th birthday next year. As the Sydney Harbour Bridge is also 80 next year, Goldsmith wants to walk across it accompanied by others also born on March 19, 1932.

Queenstown, New Zealand’s purpose-built drum+bass and dub nightclub Subculture is for sale.
After eight years of running the venue, two of its three owners, Antonia Crowley and DJ Simon “Downtown Brown” Hendl, want to spend more time with their young family, and devote their energies to organizing dance festivals like their two-yearly Shotover Sunshine.
