Mr. Big In The U.S.A.

Boasting its original lineup, Mr. Big takes to America’s highways beginning next month in San Diego.

Formed in 1988, Mr. Big hasn’t had a lot of lineup changes in its 23 years of existence. Guitarist Richie Kotzen replaced Paul Gilbert in 1997 and stayed with the band through its 2002 breakup. Gilbert rejoined the band when Mr. Big reunited in 2009. Along with Gilbert the original lineup consists of vocalist Eric Martin, bassist Billy Sheehan and drummer Pat Torpey.

The first Mr. Big U.S. tour in 13 years featuring the original lineup is in support of the band’s new album, What If…, The journey begins in Southern California at San Diego’s 4th & B July 30. Other stops include Tempe, Ariz., at the Marquee Theatre Aug. 2; San Francisco’s Fillmore Aug. 5; Salt Lake City at Summit Music Hall Aug. 9; Columbus, Ohio, at Al Rosa Villa Aug. 13; Pittsburgh at the Trib Total Media Amphitheatre Aug. 16; Detroit at Harpo’s Aug. 20; New York at B.B.
