The indie rock band features former members of Sleater-Kinney, Helium, The Minders, Quasi, and Stephen Malkmus and The Jicks including Carrie Brownstein, Janet Weiss, Mary Timony and Rebecca Cole.

Wild Flag’s self-titled debut album is set for release Sept. 13 on Merge Records. Fans who pre-order the CD or LP through Merge’s website will receive a Wild Flag poster (while supplies last). Merge’s website is also the place for a free download of the track “Romance.”

The fall tour begins Oct. 3 at Minneapolis’ Varsity Theater. Dates are booked through a Nov. 12 gig at Biltmore Cabaret in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Additional dates include Kansas City, Mo., at The Record Bar (Oct. 5); Chicago’s Empty Bottle (Oct. 9); New York’s Bowery Ballroom (Oct. 18); Washington, D.C., at Black Cat (Oct. 20); New Orleans at One Eyed Jacks (Oct. 26); San Diego at The Casbah (Nov. 1); and San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall (Nov. 4-5).

Before kicking off the fall trek Wild Flag has a few other North American dates to take care of first. On June 24 and 25 the group plays in Calgary, Alberta. Next month the band can be found at The Subterranean in Chicago July 22 followed by a July 23 appearance at in Chicago. On Aug. 12 Wild Flag supports Sonic Youth at the Williamsburg Waterfront in Brooklyn, N.Y.
