Jeff Beck Back In Canada

After only scheduling one Canadian gig in the spring, Jeff Beck is returning to the country in October for 11 more shows.

The Canadian run kicks off Oct. 12 at Halifax Metro Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and wraps up Oct. 27 at the Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts in British Columbia.

Additional performances include stops at The Centre At Casino New Brunswick in Moncton (Oct. 13); Place des Arts in Montreal (Oct. 15); National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Ontario (Oct. 16); Massey Hall in Toronto (Oct. 18); Pantages Playhouse Theatre in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Oct. 22); and Winspear Centre in Edmonton, Alberta (Oct. 25).

The English guitar maestro has also added four U.S. dates including Seattle’s Moore Theatre (Oct. 28); Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, Ore. (Oct. 29); Wells Fargo Center For The Arts in Santa Rosa, Calif. (Oct. 31); and Uptown Theatre Napa in California (Nov. 1).

Tonight Beck plays in Warsaw, Poland, at Congress Hall. European dates are scheduled through a July 1 show at Paris’ Grand Rex.

Beck is touring in support of his tenth studio album, 2010’s Emotion & Commotion. The album features vocal performances by Joss Stone, Imelda May and Olivia Safe, and includes covers of “Over The Rainbow,” “Corpus Christi Carol” and “Lilac Wine.” Emotion & Commotion was nominated for five Grammy awards, snagging best rock instrumental performance for “Hammerhead” as well as best pop instrumental performance for “Nessun Dorma.”
