Walking With Foxes

The fun begins with two nights in Seattle at Paramount Theatre Sept. 6-7. Dates are booked through a Sept. 29 show in Ann Arbor, Mich., at Hill Auditorium.

The two indie rock bands will also play Reno, Nev., at Grand Sierra Resort Theatre (Sept. 9); Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre (Sept. 14); Tulsa, Okla., at Cain’s Ballroom (Sept. 17); Florida Theatre in Jacksonville (Sept. 20); Raleigh Amphitheater in North Carolina (Sept. 21); and Holyoke, Mass., at Mountain Park (Sept. 25).

On Sept. 15 Fleet Foxes and The Walkmen will be joined by Bon Iver at Comerica Theatre in Phoenix.

Before touring with The Walkmen, Fleet Foxes will continue marking off dates on a European trek that spans several months. On Thursday the band plays Wolverhampton Civic Hall in the U.K., with European shows scheduled through a July 10 gig in Finland. Another round of European dates is booked Aug. 11-20, followed by another leg Nov. 10-22 and Dec. 1-2. In between the European jaunts the Foxes have a number of North American headline shows lined up July 14-24.

The Walkmen have their own European shows to do with several festival appearances booked in late June and July.

Both bands appear at Austin City Limits Music Festival Sept. 18 at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas.

Fleet Foxes are touring in support of the indie folk band’s sophomore album, Helplessness Blues. The album was released in May on Sub Pop. The Walkmen’s most recent studio album is the group’s sixth studio album, 2010’s Lisbon.

Tickets for select Fleet Foxes/The Walkmen shows are on sale now. The majority of tickets go on sale June 24-25.
