Axis Of Awesome’s tour schedule isn’t your typical itinerary. Sure, the band has gigs at venues known for live music, but the group is also hitting a few comedy spots. It’s not often when you see George’s Majestic Ballroom and the Cap City Comedy Club on the same routing.

Made up of Jordan Raskopoulos, Lee Naimo and Benny Davis, the Axis Of Awesome takes great delight in skewering today’s rock tunes as well as delivering original material such as “How To Write A Love Song,” “Birdplane,” and “Can You Hear The F***ing Music Coming Out Of My Car?”

Supporting their new album Animal Vehicle, the Axis Of Awesome kicks off the fun begins with an album release party and performance at Largo at The Coronet in Los Angeles July 12. After stopping in San Antonio at Laugh Out Loud July 15-17 the group doesn’t play the U.S. again until Madison, N.J., at Drew University Sept. 16. Other destinations include Fayetteville, Ark., at George’s Majestic Lounge Sept. 27; Austin, Texas, at Cap City Comedy Club Oct. 14-15; Milwaukee at Turner Ballroom Oct. 21; New Hope, Minn., at Cinema Grill Oct. 22 and Pittsburgh at Carnegie Mellon University Oct. 27.
