At least, that’s how the official announcement put it, painting the shows as the ultimate must-see events for anyone whose shower repertoire includes “Hello It’s Me” “I Saw The Light” and “Bang On The Drum.”

Billed as “An Evening With…” the shows will take place in only two locations – HMV Ritz in Manchester Oct. 1 and London’s Jazz Café Oct. 3-5.

The gigs mark Rundgren’s first performances in the United Kingdom since he presented his classic 1973 album, A Wizard, A True Star, in its entirety at London’s Hammersmith Apollo in February 2010. Word is the shows will be Rundgren’s only U.K. performances this year.
