The European shows are up first beginning with a July 29 festival appearance in Kosice, Slovakia. Dates are booked through an Aug. 11 performance at in Budapest, Hungary in Obuda Island.

The tour also includes gigs in Slovenia, Czech Republic, Germany, Russia, Latvia, Poland and Crotia.

Xiu Xiu’s U.S. run kicks off Sept. 8 at in Raleigh, N.C., at White Collar Crime. The tour wraps up with two more festival appearances: in Cincinnati Sept. 23 and in Champaign, Ill., Sept. 24. 

Fans can also find the group in Charlottesville, Va., at The Southern (Sept. 10); Baltimore at Metro Gallery (Sept. 11); Pittsburgh at The Altar Bar (Sept. 12); Ithaca, N.Y., at The Haunt (Sept. 15); Cleveland at The Happy Dog (Sept. 18); and Louisville, Ky., at Zanzabar (Sept. 22).

The European dates feature Jamie Stewart and Angela Seo. The lineup for the U.S. dates includes Stewart along with Sam Mickens and Zac Pennington. 

Xiu Xiu is taking pre-orders for its new 7-inch called F**k The Police. The limited edition record is set for release Sept. 6 on Polyvinyl Records and features the new tune “Daphny” and a cover of Rihanna’s “Only Girl (In The World).” A few new T-shirts are for sale through the band’s website including the “Boy George Make-Up Tank.” The shirts were created in collaboration with composer/musician/activist J. Morrison.

The band’s most recent full-length studio release is 2010’s Dear God, I Hate Myself.
