Tucker, whose film credits include the “Rush Hour” films, “Friday,” “Money Talks” and “Dead Presidents,” returned to stand-up on a more full-time basis earlier this year with several spring and early summer shows.

His newly announced 18-date national tour begins Aug. 19 with a gig in Long Beach, Calif., at Terrace Theater.

He then heads to Phoenix’s Terrace Theater (Aug. 20) followed by Albany, N.Y., at Palace Theatre (Sept. 3); the Chicago Theatre (Sept. 16); New Orleans at Lakefront Arena (Sept. 23); Detroit’s Fox Theatre (Oct. 1); Washington, D.C., at DAR Constitution Hall (Oct. 7); Houston’s Verizon Wireless Theater (Oct. 14); and Seattle’s Paramount Theatre (Oct. 21).

The tour wraps up Nov. 26 in Oakland, Calif., at Paramount Theatre.

Before kicking off the tour Tucker will perform a few U.S. dates this month and appear Aug. 13 at the Wild. 94.9 Comedy Jam in Mountain View, Calif. The event features Dave Chappelle, Gabriel Iglesias, Katt Williams, Jo Koy and Rick Gutierrez.

A Live Nation presale for select dates begins Wednesday. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday.
