Beady Eye Back In The U.S.

After making its North American live debut in June with a handful of shows, Beady Eye will return to this side of the Atlantic for more gigs in the late fall.

Beady Eye features singer/songwriter Liam Gallagher and his former-Oasis bandmates drummer Chris Sharrock, and guitarists Gem Archer and Andy Bell. The English rock band was formed following Oasis’ split in August 2009. Gallagher’s brother and former bandmate Liam quit Oasis, subsequently breaking up the band, minutes before an appearance at Paris’ Rock En Seine Festival.

The Chicago Tribune had plenty of nice things to say about Beady Eye’s first U.S. show which took place June 18 show at The Windy City’s Metro / Smart Bar.

“You can take the band out of the stadium, but you can’t take the stadium out of the band,” the paper wrote. “Beady Eye whipped through songs from its debut [album] Different Gear, Still Speeding … with the confidence of a seasoned act with nothing to prove.”

Different Gear, Still Speeding was released in February.
