Officers were called to the home after a neighbor called 911 to report a disturbance between Oliveri and his girlfriend, according to TMZ.

Sources told TMZ the girlfriend told police Oliveri hit her during an argument the previous day and she’d returned to the home to pick up her things and move out. Oliveri reportedly wouldn’t let the woman leave the home and refused to come out when officers arrived.

After keeping S.W.A.T. officers at bay, he agreed to let the woman go and gave himself up, TMZ said. Police reportedly found a loaded, high-powered weapon when searching the home. Oliveri was booked on felony domestic violence and was released after posting $100,000 bail.

The bassist made news a decade ago when, as a member of Queens, he performed at Rock In Rio nude, was detained and questioned, and asked to make a public apology. He was with QOTSA until 2004. Oliveri was in metal band Kyuss’ first lineup before Queens and is part of the Kyuss Lives tour scheduled to play Belgium’s July 14.
