Young Love is set for release Aug. 2 on Aware Records/Universal Republic. The album features the single “Hey Mama,” which has been described by USA Today as a “buoyant, hand-clapping track.” Kearney will perform the tune Aug. 2 on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”

The fall tour kicks off Sept. 14 in Jacksonville, Fla., at Murray Hill Theatre. The trek winds down Nov. 20 in Minneapolis at First Avenue.

Fans can also find Kearney in Carrboro, N.C., at Cat’s Cradle (Sept. 18); Louisville, Ky., at Headliners Music Hall (Sept. 23); Cleveland at House Of Blues (Sept. 25); St. Louis at The Pageant (Oct. 5); New York’s Webster Hall (Oct. 28); Philadelphia at Theatre Of The Living Arts (Oct. 29); Montreal’s Petit Campus (Nov. 8); Detroit at St. Andrews Hall (Nov. 13); and Chicago’s House Of Blues (Nov. 17-18).

Pre-sale tickets will be available beginning Tuesday. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Friday.

Kearney will spend the rest of July opening for Owl City. On Tuesday he takes the stage in San Francisco at Warfield Theatre. Support dates are scheduled through a July 30 gig in Saint Paul, Minn., at The Roy Wilkins Auditorium.
