Touring in support of his 2010 release, Relentless, Yngwie Malmsteen will shred his way across North America. Beginning at New York City’s Irving Plaza Oct. 13, the routing includes stops in Montreal at Club Soda Oct. 18; Toronto at Phoenix Concert Theatre Oct. 19; Chicago’s House Of Blues Oct. 21; Denver’s Bluebird Theater Oct. 23; San Francisco at the Fillmore Oct. 26; Anaheim’s House Of Blues Oct. 28 and Los Angeles at Club Nokia Oct. 29.

November has Malmsteen playing House Of Blues in Houston (Nov. 1) and Dallas (Nov. 2) before landing in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for a gig at Revolution Nov. 5. Expect more dates to be announced.

But if you can’t wait until October to catch Malmsteen in action, the guitarist will appear at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., Aug. 6 to play the National Anthem and throw out the first pitch for the Florida Marlins’ home game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

“I am very much looking forward to playing new pieces from Relentless, as well as Malmsteen classics,” Malmsteen said in a statement. “Fans can expect the unexpected…I raise the bar with every performance I do and this tour will be no different.”

Some dates are already on sale. Click here for Malmsteen’s official website and here to read Pollstar’s 2009 interview with the guitarist.
