Chili Peppers Slot Benefit Club Show

If you’ve ever wanted to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers perform in a club, you’ll have your chance next month when the band plays a benefit in Los Angeles.

This up-close-and-personal gig benefiting the Silverlake Conservatory Of Music will take place at Club Nokia in L.A. Aug. 24. The organization was co-founded by RHCP bassist Flea and includes vocalist Anthony Kiedis on its board of directors. The benefit is intended to raise money to pay the Conservatory’s operating costs and help fund its scholarship program offering music education to children unable to afford lessons.

“That my career is something I believe in with all my heart, is an incredible gift,” Flea said in a statement. “To direct the energy of that work to help out the school which I also believe in with the intensity and have nurtured for the past ten years is a transcendent double doozy of greatness. We are going to rock our balls off for the Silverlake Conservatory Of Music, like a pack of wild animals!”

An online ticket auction for premium seating began today via Ticketmaster and runs through tomorrow at 3 p.m. PDT with minimum bids ranging from $250 for general admission standing to $400 for general admission pit access. Click here to get in on the action.
