Hawarden Named IAVM CEO
Vicki Hawarden, 20-year veteran of facility management, has been named to replace Dexter King as the new CEO of International Association of Venue Managers.
Hawarden was most recently VP of knowledge and events with Meeting Professionals International.
Her background includes executive positions with the National Recreation and Park Association, American Association of Blood Banks, and International Association for Exhibit Management.
At IAEM, Hawarden managed the global training, exhibit, education, research, publishing and corporate responsibility departments.
She will assume her new role Aug. 15, where she will be instrumental in continuing the organization’s international growth, strengthening its educational content and developing programs geared toward young industry professionals, according to a statement.
