Kanye West, Jay-Z Ascend ‘The Throne’

The two superstars join forces for an album and tour.

Performing under the moniker “The Throne,” Kanye West and Jay-Z will release the album next month and unleash the tour in September. Watch The Throne drops exclusively on iTunes Aug. 8 on Roc-A-Fella / Def Jam / Roc Nation. Physical stores and other online music sellers will start hawking it Aug. 12.

The Live Nation tour begins a few weeks after the album’s release, launching north of Detroit at the Palace Of Auburn Hills Sept. 22. Other stops include Toronto’s Air Canada Centre Sept. 24; Montreal’s Bell Centre Sept. 25; E. Rutherford, N.J., at the Izod Center Sept. 27-28 and Washington, D.C., at the Verizon Center Sept. 29.

Continuing across the continent, look for the tour to play Chicago (Oct. 6-7); Minneapolis (Oct. 8); Denver (Oct. 10); Tacoma, Wash. (Oct. 13); Vancouver (Oct. 14); San Jose (Oct. 16); Sacramento (Oct. 17); Los Angeles (Oct. 19-20); Las Vegas (Oct. 21); Dallas (Oct. 25); Houston (Oct. 26); Atlanta (Oct. 29); Greensboro, N.C. (Oct. 30); Baltimore (Nov. 1) and Boston (Nov. 3).

A presale begins July 28 via Live Nation and includes a digital copy of Watch The Throne. A presale for Citi members begins July 29.
