The “Cut Chemist Presents Tunnel Vision Tour” is named after the concept audio-visual performance that has been evolving over the past six years.

The DJ/record producer will use two turntables and two DVD turntables to show off new material from his upcoming yet-untitled album, which is set for release sometime next year.

Fans should also look out for Cut Chemist classics and a special version of his one turntable, loop pedal, all-vinyl “Sound Of The Police” set.

Cut Chemist will be joined on the road by Edan and Mr. Lif, who he’s been making music with for the past five years. The tour will feature individual sets from each artist as well as on-stage collaborations.

“We all share the same aesthetic and ethic is making music and how it should be in a performance,” Cut Chemist said in a statement about the tour.

“Once doors open, we’ll hit the ground running as Mr. Lif bring a high energy classic style of emceeing that commands crowd involvement with theatrics and costume change. Edan will do his critically acclaimed performance seldom seen on the West Coast as he plays a Theremin, kazoo, acoustic guitar and raps through a delay pedal all while keeping the beat going on the turntables with his counter part Paten Locke trading off rhymes and beats so fast you can’t tell who is doing what. This is one of the best live rap performances I’ve ever seen.”

The tour begins with two Los Angeles-area House Of Blues shows – Aug. 16 in Anaheim and Aug. 17 in West Hollywood.

Additional shows include an Aug. 18 gig in San Francisco at Mezzanine followed by an Aug. 19 performance in Seattle at Showbox At The Market, and an Aug. 20 stop in San Diego at House Of Blues.

More dates will be announced soon.
