No Weir Acoustic For You

You can forget about Bob Weir’s solo acoustic run scheduled for early August.

Announcing the postponements on his website, Weir didn’t offer any concrete reasons for the change of plans affecting the Aug. 2-7 run, only to blame the sudden twist of scheduling on “unforeseen circumstances.”

Shows to be rescheduled include his Aug. 2 gig in Knoxville, Tenn., as well as Aug. 5 in Pittsfield, Mass., Aug. 6 in Portland, Maine, and Aug. 7 in Westbury, N.Y.

While Weir hopes to reschedule the dates, he won’t be able to time-shift his Aug. 4 engagement appearing with Merle Haggard in Charlottesville, Va., at the nTelos Pavilion. Haggard is still appearing on that date, sans Weir, according to the venue’s website.

Weir’s scheduled appearance at the in Lyons, Colo., Aug. 20 with Chris Robinson and Jackie Greene is still a go as is his Sept. 3 gig in Woodstock, N.Y., and his appearance Sept. 4 in Mohawk, N.Y.  Furthur dates are not affected. Visit BobWeir.net for more info.
