Homebake Goes For Classic Edition

IMC’s Joe Seg promised a “classic edition” when Sydney’s Homebake festival returned in December after taking a year off due to what Seg called a lack of a strong headliner.

This year’s bill is topped by Nick Cave’s Grinderman, with sets from classic acts such as The Triffids, The Church and Icehouse as well as Pnau, The Vines, Gurrumul, Cut Copy and Goyte with newer acts Kimbra, Papa Vs Pretty, The Jezabels and New Zealand’s Unknown Mortal Orchestra.

Grinderman is the only band announced so far for the 21st year of Victoria’s Meredith in December; the rest of the lineup will be announced in late August. Icehouse is also tipped to appear.
