The Venue Alliance

Ticketing company ExtremeTix announced at IAVM’s VenueConnect conference in Phoenix that it is forming a venue coalition, with one big difference.

The Venue Alliance is being offered to venues that it says may be shut out of tours because they’re not affiliated with Live Nation or AEG.

The alliance – powered by ExtremeTix and its division Three Zebras Entertainment – would offer venues a “professional advocate” to represent the building, efforts to improve branding and market awareness and improved programming.

Programming would include national tours and block buys, exclusive events and attractions and “The Promoter Network” – an alliance of promoters that would route events through member venues.

Also, The Venue Alliance touts that it will promote or co-promote events through Three Zebras Entertainment. “No other organization is willing to step up to this level of financial commitment,” the organization stated in a PowerPoint presentation.

The Alliance also says it offers a ticketing solution with a low-fee structure, operational efficiencies, a forum for sharing best practices and increased control over revenue streams.

The Venue Alliance began recruitment efforts July 27.
