Marie Osmond Joins Showgirl Protest

Marie Osmond joined dozens of showgirls in a march down the Las Vegas Strip July 21 to protest resort fees charged at many of the city’s hotels.

Osmond, Penn & Teller, other entertainers and the roughly 50 performers from the “Jubilee!” show at Bally’s Las Vegas hotel-casino support the no-fee policy of Caesars Entertainment, which claims its policy saves travelers $3 million per month.

Las Vegas resort fees are usually not included in an advertised room rate. They cover hotel amenities. The event was dubbed a gesture of solidarity with the American consumer.
