The team that runs venues like New York’s Blue Note Jazz Club and B.B. King Blues Club now has a name.

Blue Note Entertainment Group has been created to provide “an easily identifiable corporate entity” for the talent buying team that also books NYC’s Highline Ballroom, Foxboro, Mass.’ Showcase Live, Regattabar Jazz Club in Cambridge, Mass., Baltimore SoundStage and the Blue Note Jazz Clubs in Japan and Italy.

New venues will be announced soon in Washington D.C. and Richmond, Va., according to a statement.

Toffer Christensen has been promote to VP of talent, supervising a team that includes Chris Zahn, Paolo Suarez, Peter Abraham, Christian VerHalen, Seiko Kinoshita and Liz Perantinides.

The company will operate from two floors of office space that were just added above the Blue Note.
