The talented multi-instrumentalist announced the shows on his website. Although Lupercalia was released during the spring in Europe and the U.K. and is available in the U.S. as a download and import, the physical CD won’t see an American release until early 2012.

“The Lupercalia World Tour will start acoustic, solo with my instruments, like back when I first stared doing shows, as I haven’t yet debuted any of my new songs on your shores in their bare bones and I have five albums to get through acoustically,” Patrick Wolf wrote on his website.

Playing three cities, Wolf will cover both sides of the continent, beginning in Los Angeles at the Masonic Hall Sept. 13 followed by a trip up the coast to San Francisco for a gig at Bimbo’s 365 Club Sept. 15. Wolf will be in NYC two days later, performing at Le Poisson Rouge Sept. 17.
