IMAC Reopens As Paramount

The former Inter-Media Arts Center in Huntington, N.Y., shuttered in 2009 after 26 years, will reopen Sept. 30 as the Paramount Theatre following a $3 million renovation project.

Elvis Costello & The Imposters is scheduled Sept. 30 to headline the grand opening weekend for the 1,500-capacity venue run by Live Nation.

Building upgrades include a VIP lounge on the balcony, a members-only “Founder’s Room” with a separate entrance and a general admission floor, according to the Long Island Press.

Also on the books are The B-52’s, Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Blue Oyster Cult, Jack’s Mannequin, “Weird Al” Yankovic, NOFX and Pixies through early November.
