PAC Catering Office Robbed

Two masked and armed men robbed the catering office at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia Aug. 5 and got away with a lot of cash.

Police told the city’s Daily News the suspects approached an employee who had been counting cash in the safe at the Wolfgang Puck catering office as he was going outside for a break.

The suspects allegedly tied up the employee, held him at gunpoint as they cleaned out the cash and then escaped through a hole cut in the fence behind the office. The robbers made off with about $120,000, police said, adding that it looked like an inside job.

The men were last seen driving away in a dark-colored minivan, the paper said.

No one was hurt and the robbery is considered an isolated incident. A Death Cab For Cutie concert that night went on as scheduled.
